Most people that walk through my doors wanting to “put their affairs in order” say that they have been told that they need a Living Trust to avoid taxes and to prevent their estate from having to go to probate. While, certainly, there are circumstances where a trust is an advisable tool for a Kentucky estate plan, for most families, a simple integrated estate plan will accomplish the purpose and at a far lower cost.
